Leave Entebbe for the scenic journey west towards Kibale National Park, travelling through Uganda's changing countryside to Fort Portal. Stop for a freshly prepared local lunch before continuing through the beautiful Kasenda Crater Lakes region, where rolling hills, fertile farms and volcanic landscapes create a memorable introduction to western Uganda.
Continue to Chimpanzee Capital Lodge, settle in and enjoy a relaxed evening surrounded by the atmosphere of the Kibale region. This first day is intentionally unhurried, combining scenic travel, local food and beautiful landscapes before tomorrow's primate experience.

Day 2

After breakfast, head into Kibale National Park for one of Uganda's most rewarding wildlife experiences, tracking chimpanzees through the tropical forest with experienced ranger guides.
After the trek, continue the day's cultural journey with a home hosted local lunch at Tinka's Home, offering an opportunity to enjoy traditional Ugandan food and experience the warmth of local hospitality.
Later, drive to Rubalika Safari Lodge and Farm. After settling in, take a short community visit to gain a glimpse into everyday rural life before returning to the lodge for a locally inspired dinner.

Day 3

Begin the morning with a guided nature walk towards the river, taking in the peaceful countryside and natural surroundings. Breakfast is served beside the river, creating a relaxed jungle dining experience immersed in the sounds and scenery of western Uganda.
Return to the lodge for a hands on traditional cooking experience. Learn how local ingredients are prepared, take part in creating the meal, then sit down to enjoy the lunch you helped prepare.
The afternoon continues with a coffee experience, introducing you to the journey of one of Uganda's most important crops. As the day cools, enjoy an evening sundowner overlooking the surrounding landscape, followed by a relaxing jungle massage before dinner.

Start the day with a leisurely bush breakfast surrounded by the peaceful landscapes of Rubalika before beginning the journey south towards Bwindi.
The drive reveals another side of rural Uganda, passing through cultivated hills, villages and increasingly dramatic highland scenery as you approach the home of the mountain gorillas.
On arrival, check in at Ride 4 a Woman, a community focused accommodation experience that adds another meaningful dimension to the safari. Spend the remainder of the afternoon relaxing and preparing for the following morning's gorilla tracking adventure.

Day 5

Today brings one of the safari's most anticipated wildlife encounters. After an early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing before entering Bwindi's rainforest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family.
The trek itself is part of the experience, taking you through one of Africa's most remarkable forest landscapes before spending your permitted time observing the gorillas with the guidance of experienced trackers and rangers.
After returning and resting, spend the afternoon learning about the traditions, stories and forest heritage of the Batwa through a guided cultural experience. The day brings together two powerful dimensions of Bwindi, its extraordinary wildlife and its human history.

After breakfast, leave Bwindi and travel towards Lake Mburo National Park, passing through the beautiful landscapes of southwestern Uganda.
On arrival in the Lake Mburo region, experience the cultural significance of the iconic Ankole long horned cattle and learn about their place in the traditions and livelihoods of the communities that have raised them for generations.
Later, enjoy a guided nature walk, experiencing the landscape at a slower pace and discovering the smaller details that are often missed from a safari vehicle.
End the day at Rwakobo Rock, where the natural setting provides a relaxed conclusion to another varied day of wildlife, culture and countryside.

After breakfast, begin the final journey towards Entebbe, stopping at the Uganda Equator for one last cultural and geographical experience.
Take time for photographs and the classic Equator experience before enjoying a local lunch. Afterwards, browse the nearby craft shops, where you can find handmade Ugandan souvenirs and support local artisans by purchasing locally produced crafts.
Continue to Entebbe for your onward travel or post safari accommodation.
The journey may be ending, but the experiences reflect the wider story of Uganda, from rainforest primates and rural farms to traditional food, community life, cultural heritage and some of the country's most beautiful landscapes.
