Your safari adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your Nairobi hotel or JKIA Airport before departing north towards the rugged and scenic Samburu National Reserve. Enjoy beautiful views of Kenya’s central highlands, coffee plantations, and Mount Kenya region along the way. Arrive at Samburu Sopa Lodge in time for lunch and relaxation. Later in the afternoon, head out for your first exciting game drive in search of Samburu’s unique wildlife species including the Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, gerenuk, reticulated giraffe, and Beisa oryx. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

After breakfast, depart with picnic lunch boxes for a full-day game drive in Samburu National Reserve. The reserve is famous for its large elephant herds, big cats, and rare northern Kenya wildlife species often referred to as the “Samburu Special Five.” Explore the Ewaso Nyiro River ecosystem where many animals gather to drink water, creating excellent opportunities for wildlife photography and predator sightings. Enjoy picnic lunch in the wild before continuing with afternoon game viewing until sunset. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight rest.

Enjoy breakfast before departing for Ol Pejeta Conservancy, one of Kenya’s leading wildlife conservancies and rhino sanctuaries. Arrive at Sweetwaters Serena Camp in time for lunch. In the afternoon, proceed for a game drive within the conservancy, famous for hosting the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa as well as chimpanzees rescued from across Africa. Enjoy opportunities to spot lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and many other wildlife species. Return to the camp in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

The park also offers spectacular lake views and excellent birdwatching opportunities. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

On clear weather days, enjoy stunning views of Africa’s highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight stay.
