Day 1

Arusha National Park

You will be picked up from your stay in Arusha and begin a beautiful journey to Arusha National Park, with packed lunch boxes prepared for the day.

Upon arrival, you will enjoy an exciting game drive through the park, followed by a guided walking safari accompanied by an armed park ranger. This unique experience allows you to explore the park on foot and discover its wildlife and natural surroundings from a different perspective.

Arusha National Park is home to a remarkable variety of wildlife, including African elephants, Cape buffaloes, hippos, zebras, giraffes, and the more elusive wildebeest. The park is also renowned for its diverse and spectacular landscapes, ranging from expansive open savannah and acacia scrubland to lush montane forests.

Day 2

Arusha to Ngorongoro Crater

Arusha to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you will start a beautiful journey to Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable game drive. The crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and is widely regarded as one of Africa’s natural wonders.

The Ngorongoro Crater is home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, with around 30,000 large mammals living within the crater throughout the year. During your game drive, you may encounter buffaloes, lions, elephants, cheetahs, and the rare black rhinoceros, as well as a remarkable variety of bird species, including flamingos, eagles, and buzzards.

The crater’s abundant wildlife makes it possible to see a remarkable number of animals within a relatively short period of time, creating an unforgettable safari experience.
Once you finish game drives you will be back to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3

Lake Eyasi to Arusha

Lake Eyasi to Arusha

After breakfast, your safari guide will drive you to Lake Eyasi, where you will have the opportunity to meet two of Tanzania’s fascinating indigenous communities: the Hadzabe and the Datoga.

Your first visit will be with the Hadzabe, one of Tanzania’s traditional hunter-gatherer communities. You will have the unique opportunity to join them on a hunting excursion and learn about their traditional hunting techniques, lifestyle, and deep connection with the surrounding environment.

After your experience with the Hadzabe, you will visit the Datoga community, which is renowned for its traditional craftsmanship and highly skilled blacksmithing. You will have the opportunity to observe local artisans as they demonstrate their traditional metalworking techniques and learn more about their culture and way of life.

After completing these activities, you will be transfered to Arusha at Clock tower where your safari ends.
