After breakfast, depart Ol Pejeta and travel north toward the Samburu region. The landscape gradually becomes drier and more rugged as you approach northern Kenya, providing a striking contrast to the fertile Laikipia highlands. Arrive in the Samburu area around lunchtime and check into your lodge or tented camp. After lunch, enjoy your first game drive along the Ewaso Ng'iro River, searching for elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo and Samburu's distinctive northern wildlife.
