Your guide will meet you early in the morning at your hotel for a scenic road transfer to Bwindi. The journey traverses Uganda's rolling highlands, lush farmland and traditional villages, with several stops to take in the landscapes and capture photographic opportunities. A lunch break is arranged en route.

Key attractions along the route include the Equator Crossing at Kayabwe, a memorable stop for photography and engaging cultural demonstrations; the magnificent Kigezi Highlands, known for their sweeping vistas, mist-covered valleys, and beautifully terraced hillsides; and the peaceful tea plantations that blanket the rolling landscapes as you approach Bwindi, offering a calm and scenic transition into the region's dense rainforest environment.

Gorilla Trekking Experience and Return Transfer

After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for registration and a pre-trek briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. You will be assigned a habituated gorilla family and set off on a guided trek through Bwindi’s dense rainforest, steep terrain, and rich wildlife habitats. The trek typically lasts 2–6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ location.

Once you find the gorillas, enjoy an unforgettable hour observing them in their natural habitat as they interact, feed, and move through the forest. This rare encounter offers incredible photographic opportunities and a truly memorable wildlife experience.

After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch before beginning your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe, with arrival expected in the late evening.
