Nairobi to Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Leave Nairobi and travel north towards Ol Pejeta Conservancy, arriving in the Laikipia region as the landscape changes from Nairobi’s highlands to open grasslands and ranch country. After lunch, begin your first game drive through the conservancy, keeping watch for rhinos, elephants, lions, buffaloes, zebras and other wildlife. Ol Pejeta is also known for its strong conservation work, making the experience about more than wildlife viewing alone. Return to Ol Pejeta Bush Camp for dinner and your first night in the conservancy.

Ol Pejeta to the Maasai Mara

After breakfast, leave Ol Pejeta and travel south towards the Maasai Mara, passing through changing landscapes on the way to Kenya’s renowned savannah country. After arriving in the Mara ecosystem and settling into Naboisho Camp, head out for your first game drive. The afternoon gives you your first opportunity to search for lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and other wildlife across the open plains before returning to camp for the evening.

With a full day available, there is time to stay with interesting wildlife encounters and explore different areas of the Mara rather than rushing between sightings.
