Pilanesberg Morning Drive and Transfer to Tsholo

Guests are collected early from their nominated hotel, residence or OR Tambo Airport and travel west by air-conditioned vehicle, with one comfort stop, reaching Pilanesberg National Park in roughly two to two and a half hours. There they transfer into an open safari vehicle for a three-hour morning game drive across volcanic hills, dams and open grassland in search of Big 5 and plains game with a knowledgeable ranger. Guests then transfer to the Black Rhino side of the reserve and check in at the exclusive Tsholo Safari Lodge, where a welcome lunch is served. The afternoon is unhurried, with time to swim, relax on a viewing deck or book an optional treatment at Amani Spa, before a silent electric-vehicle sunset game drive tracking elephant, lion, leopard, rhino and buffalo, with a sundowner stop. The day closes with a seasonal dinner by Stellenbosch chefs, served in the restaurant or boma.

Sunrise Game Drive and Return to Johannesburg

After an early wake-up call with tea, coffee and rusks, guests set out on a sunrise game drive in Tsholo's silent electric safari vehicles, exploring the Black Rhino and Greater Pilanesberg area while the reserve is at its quietest. On return, a full breakfast is served at the lodge. Guests then check out around mid-morning, with luggage stored so they can continue to relax around the property - enjoying the pools, viewing decks and gym, or booking an optional spa treatment at Amani Spa - until collection by MoAfrika Tours at around 11h00. The return journey retraces the route back to Johannesburg, with guests dropped at their nominated hotel, residence or OR Tambo Airport in the early afternoon, bringing this two-sided Pilanesberg and Black Rhino experience to a close.
