Nairobi to Masai mara national reserve

Your safari begins with an early morning pickup from your Nairobi hotel or an agreed meeting point. Meet your driver-guide for a short safari briefing before departing for the Masai Mara. Travel through the Great Rift Valley, stopping at a viewpoint if conditions permit, and continue through Narok towards the Mara. Arrive at Endeem Mara for check-in and lunch, followed by a short break.

In the afternoon, enter the Masai Mara National Reserve for your first game drive. Explore the rolling grasslands as your guide searches for elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes and the big cats. Enjoy your first encounters with the Mara’s wildlife before returning to Endeem Mara for dinner and an overnight stay.

Masai mara National Park

After an early breakfast, depart with a packed picnic lunch for a full day exploring the Masai Mara National Reserve. Your guide will plan the day around recent sightings and wildlife movements, taking you through different habitats in search of predators and plains game. Watch for lions resting or moving across the savannah, cheetahs scanning the open grasslands and leopards hidden among the trees. Elephants, buffalo, giraffes and numerous antelope species add to the experience.

Pause for a picnic lunch at a designated location before continuing your afternoon game drive. With the whole day available, you will have time to observe animal behavior, take photographs and appreciate the reserve’s scenery without returning to camp for lunch. Return to Endeem Mara in the late afternoon for relaxation, dinner and your second overnight stay.
