Flight from Zanzibar to Dar Es Salaam, then Drive to Mikumi National Park

Your adventure begins with an early morning flight from Zanzibar to Dar es Salaam.

After landing, meet your private safari guide and depart by 4x4 towards Mikumi National Park.

The drive takes several hours, so enjoy the changing scenery as you travel from the coast towards Tanzania's southern safari country.

Arrive around midday and have lunch before entering the park for an afternoon game drive.

As the afternoon cools, explore Mikumi's open plains and woodland areas, looking for elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeest, impalas and other wildlife, with possible sightings of lions.

Continue the game drive into the late afternoon before heading to your lodge or camp for the evening.

Wake up early for breakfast before heading into Mikumi for a morning game drive, when wildlife is most active.

Spend the cooler morning hours exploring different areas of the park and searching for wildlife that may have been missed the previous afternoon.

Around late morning, leave the park and begin the drive back towards Dar es Salaam.

Enjoy lunch along the way before continuing to the airport for your afternoon or evening flight back to Zanzibar.

Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel, marking the end of your safari.
