Fly from Addis Ababa to Gondar – Simien Mountains National Park

In the morning, transfer to Bole International Airport for your domestic flight from Addis Ababa to Gondar. Upon arrival, meet your guide and driver and travel to Simien Mountains National Park. Enjoy spectacular views of the Ethiopian highlands, traditional villages, and dramatic mountain landscapes along the way. After arriving at the park, complete the entrance formalities and begin exploring the surrounding scenery. Depending on arrival time and road conditions, enjoy a short walk near Sankaber and look for Gelada baboons in their natural habitat. Sankaber – Jinbar Waterfall – Geech

After breakfast, begin your trek through the breathtaking landscapes of Simien Mountains National Park. Walk along the mountain escarpment and enjoy spectacular views of deep valleys, rugged cliffs, and distant peaks. Visit the viewpoint overlooking Jinbar Waterfall, where water plunges dramatically into the canyon below. Along the trail, look for Gelada baboons, endemic birds, and other wildlife. Continue toward Geech through beautiful highland grasslands and unique mountain vegetation. Upon arrival, relax at your campsite, enjoy dinner, and spend the night surrounded by the peaceful atmosphere of the Ethiopian highlands.

Geech – Imet Gogo – Saha – Geech

After breakfast, set out on a scenic trek to Imet Gogo, one of the most famous viewpoints in the Simien Mountains. From the summit, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of towering peaks, deep gorges, and the vast mountain plateau. Continue toward the Saha viewpoint, depending on weather and trail conditions, to discover more of the park’s remarkable landscapes. During the trek, observe Gelada baboons and look for endemic wildlife, including Walia ibex. Your guide will introduce you to the park’s natural history, wildlife, and conservation importance. Return to Geech for dinner and your final night in the mountains.

Depending on your flight schedule, enjoy a short visit to Gondar if time permits. Transfer to Gondar Airport for your domestic return flight to Addis Ababa.
