Nairobi to Masai Mara and a full safari day

Day 1: Leave Nairobi in your private pop-up roof 4x4 and travel to the Masai Mara for lunch and an afternoon game drive. Settle into Amani Mara Camp for two nights. Day 2: Spend a full day exploring the reserve with your guide, taking a picnic lunch when you choose to stay out near the wildlife. Search grasslands, woodland and riverbanks for lions, elephants, giraffes and other animals, giving sightings time to develop. Return to camp for dinner. Lunch, dinner and drinking water are included from day 1, with breakfast on day 2. Migration movements are seasonal, and no sighting or crossing is guaranteed. A balloon flight can be arranged as an optional extra.

Isebania border crossing and Serengeti safari

Day 3: Depart early for the Isebania border, complete immigration formalities and meet your Tanzania guiding team. This is a long road-transfer day, not a full day of game drives. Enjoy wildlife viewing on the way through the Serengeti as time and conditions allow, then continue to Olkarien Eco Safari Lodge for dinner. Day 4: Explore the Central Serengeti on a full-day game drive in your private pop-up roof 4x4. Take a picnic lunch and search the kopjes, grasslands and river valleys for big cats, elephants, giraffes and plains game. Your guide adapts the route to current sightings and explains animal behaviour. Spend both nights at Olkarien. All meals and drinking water are included. Wildlife and migration sightings cannot be guaranteed.

Serengeti morning safari and Ngorongoro Highlands

After breakfast at Olkarien, enjoy a morning game drive in the Serengeti in your private pop-up roof 4x4. Your guide allows time for sightings while keeping the onward journey comfortable. Have lunch along the way before continuing into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and its cooler highlands. Settle into Naserian Safari Camp, part of Acacia Collections, for dinner and an overnight stay. The crater descent is scheduled for tomorrow morning, so this afternoon is for the road journey and time at camp. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinking water are included.

Ngorongoro Crater game drive and Arusha

After an early breakfast, descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a morning game drive in your private pop-up roof 4x4. Explore the grasslands, marshes and woodland with your guide, looking for lions, buffalo, zebra and, with luck, black rhino. No sighting is guaranteed. Enjoy a picnic lunch before ascending and continuing to Arusha, where your six-day safari ends. Breakfast, lunch and drinking water are included, with no accommodation tonight. Allow enough time for an evening departure or request an extra night in Arusha at additional cost.
