Dar Es Salaam - Selous
On the first day of the itinerary, guests will enjoy a boat trip on the Rufiji River, which is one of the major rivers in Tanzania and home to many hippos and crocodiles. This is also a great opportunity to see a variety of bird species, including the African fish eagle and the kingfisher. The boat trip usually departs in the afternoon, allowing for some downtime before heading out to explore the river's wildlife.

Day two is devoted to a full-day game safari, during which guests will explore the reserve by vehicle with an experienced guide. This is an opportunity to see a variety of wildlife in their natural habitat, including rare and endangered species like black rhinoceros, wild dogs, and sable antelopes. Guests will also have a chance to take a break and enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing the game drive.

The final day of the itinerary is a guided bush walk, during which guests will get up close and personal with the reserve's flora and fauna. This is a fantastic way to learn more about the smaller species that often go unnoticed during a game drive, and to experience the sounds, sights, and smells of the bush. The walk is usually followed by breakfast before the journey back to Dar Es Salaam.
