Day 1

Pick up and transfer to Murchsion falls National park

Pick up and transfer to Murchsion falls National park

Early in the morning, the driver will pick you up from your hotel or airport and brief you before heading out to Murchison Falls which is in the northern part of Uganda. Along the way, you will make a stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola where rhinos are being reintroduced to the wild in Uganda. You'll have a complete feel of the African Big Five mammals, as it is the rhinos, out of the Big Five that are missing in Murchison Falls National Park. Here you will go for a trek around the sanctuary on foot. You will have lunch at the sanctuary and some relaxation for an indefinitely short time and embark on an exciting road trip to Murchison Falls, arriving in the evening. After checking in at the lodge, your safari guide will lead you for the game drive in Murchison Falls National Park on the lookout for the like lions, hyenas, and leopards among others. Proceed back to the lodge for relaxation and dinner.

Day 2

Morning game Drive and afternoon boat

After an early morning warm-up tea/coffee, you will transfer for a game drive to the northern bank in search of animals like lions, giraffes, oribis, elephants, Jackson’s hartebeests, Uganda kobs, and buffaloes among other animals and bird species. You will then return to the lodge in time for lunch and relax preparing for yet an exciting activity in the afternoon. After lunch, transfer for a 3-hour boat ride on the Nile River to the bottom of the falls. Here you will have the opportunity to view animals such as crocodiles, and hippos, in the water and some on the river banks. Buffaloes, waterbucks, and elephants are often seen on the river bank grazing and drinking water. You will then have to hike to the top of the falls for a clear view of the falls. Return to your lodge for a relaxed evening, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 3

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

On this day, depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have lunch en route. This exciting road trip will transverse you through African villages with green-covered hills, tea plantations, banana plantations, and African homesteads. You will arrive at the lodge late in the evening. You may do an evening game drive if time allows.

Day 4

Have an early morning breakfast then go for a morning Chimpanzees trekking in Kalinzu forest, you will be briefed about the dos and don'ts of Chimpanzees trekking and then embark on the forest hike, here you will have a chance to see chimpanzees in their natural habitat. In the afternoon hours, you will partake in a launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel. You will appreciate the high scores of elephants, hippos, buffalos, and crocodiles. Several bird species will also be seen including the rare shoe bill.

Day 5

Today, you'll start early with a packed breakfast and head out for a morning game drive on the Kasenyi Plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park to spot early risers. Expect to see elephants, buffaloes, lions, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, leopards, and hyenas. After the game drive, we'll proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through the Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth, this area is known for its tree-climbing lions. In Ishasha, we will drive off in this adventurous vast savannah area with topis and African elephants and you'll hopefully get the lions high in the fig tree branches. You will have lunch in Ishasha and continue with the transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Here you will experience a change in the landscape from flat savanna, via cultivated hills to jungle-covered mountains.

Today is often the highlight of the safari. After breakfast, you'll head to the park headquarters for a briefing from the park staff. Then, you'll meet your lead guide who will take you into the forest to find the gorilla family assigned to you. The trek can take between 2-7 hours round trip, depending on how far the gorilla family has moved since the previous day. After the trek, you'll proceed to Lake Bunyonyi, where you can relax and enjoy the stunning views of the lake.

Day 7

Lake Bunyonyi - Kampala

After breakfast, you will check out and drive back to Kampala. Along the way, you'll have lunch and stop at the equator for memorable photos, some shopping, and a chance to try a rolex (a popular Ugandan snack) if you'd like. Upon arrival in Kampala, you'll be dropped off at Entebbe International Airport for your flight home. This concludes your safari.
