Day 1

After breakfast you will begin your safari traveling from Arusha to Tarangire National Park. The park is famous for its dense wildlife population, most spectacular during the dry period between June and September. During this time thousands of animals including wildebeest, buffalo, and oryx migrate from the dry Maasai to the Tarangire River, looking for water. Lion, leopard and other predators follow the herds. Your safari will also include over 500 varieties of birds. You will arrive in the park, have lunch and then embark on a late afternoon game drive. Later in the evening, you will return for dinner and your overnight stay at Tarangire Campsite.

Day 2

After breakfast, you will check-out and begin your drive, with a packed lunch, to Lake Manyara National Park. On this drive you will pass through an underground water forest, acacia woodlands, open savanna, and hot water springs, arriving at Lake Manyara National Park. This park is home to the majestic pink flamingo, tree-climbing lion, hippo, elephant, zebra, buffalo, giraffe, baboon, blue and velvet monkey, warthog, and over 350 species of birds. You will enjoy your boxed lunch during the drive. At the end of the drive you will travel to Ngorongoro where you will check-in at the Simba Campsite for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3

Ngorongoro Crater - Lake Ndutu

After an early breakfast, you will descend to the crater floor for a once in a lifetime game drive. All the “Big Five” live in this wonderful caldera, as well as zebra, hippo, wildebeest, hyena, flamingo, geese, stork, vulture, and more. Your lunch will be served at the picnic site in the crater at Ngoitoktok swamp, a hippo pool. After lunch, you will ascend to the crater rim and drive to explore the Great Migration in the southern Serengeti in the Ndutu Area. You will take game en route to Mbugani Migration Camp for dinner and your overnight stay at Ndutu Intimate Tented Camp.

Day 4

After an early breakfast you will leave camp, with a boxed lunch box, for a game drive to explore the Great Migration in the southern Serengeti and northern Ngorongoro or Ndutu Area. In the afternoon you will stop in the bush to enjoy your boxed lunch. After lunch you will continue your game drive until sunset when you will drive back for dinner and overnight stay at Ndutu Intimate Tented Camp.

During the afternoon, you will enjoy another game drive in the park where you might see lion, leopard, elephant, cheetah, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, eland, wild dog, gazelle, crocodile, and a variety of birds. Your game drive with take you eastward where you will check-in to the Seronera Campsite for dinner and your overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will start your day with a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park where you will see the stunning scenery, every changing light and always entertaining wildlife. All of the sites and sounds will be explained to you by your expert guide. You can decide with your guide to take a lunch box or to come back to the campsite to get a hot lunch. After lunch you will set off again for afternoon game drive until sunset when you come back to camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will check-out and embark on a game drive as you traveled to Mwanza where you will pass through the western corridor of the Serengeti, along the Grumeti River and stop at Lake Victoria to visit the local fisherman. After this visit you will continue your drive to Mwanza. You will arrive at the Tilapia Hotel for dinner and your overnight stay.

After breakfast you will catch a public bus from Mwanza and travel to Kigoma; arriving in the afternoon where you will overnight in Kigoma town in the budget hotel. Kigoma is a town and lake port in north western Tanzania, on the north eastern shores of Lake Tanganyika and close to the border with Burundi. This Democratic Republic of the Congo serves as the capital for the surrounding Kigoma Region.

After breakfast, you will check-out and travel to Gombe National Park, located in the western Kigoma Region of Tanzania. Established in 1968, Gombe is one of the smallest national parks in Tanzania, with protected lands along the hills of the eastern shore of Lake Tanganyika. Upon arriving in the afternoon, you will have lunch and then start a trek to find the majestic chimpanzee. Once located, you will spend time among these amazing primates. After your trek, you will travel to the Gombe Rest house for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 10

Gombe National Park - Kigoma

After an early morning breakfast, you will check-out and travel from the Gombe National Park to travel back to Kigoma Town. Your journey will take you through a region divided into two parts; the northwestern side characterized with highlands stretching from the north to the south side of the East African Rift Valley and highly populated. The southeastern side is characterized with bush and swamps. The tsetse fly and problems with infertile soil make for a low population in this region. In the evening you will check-in to your accommodations for dinner and your overnight stay.
