Day 1

Arrival in Arusha

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro (JRO) International Airport, you will meet your driver guide for your transfer to the hotel which will take less than one hour. Arrive at Summit Safari Hotel in Arusha where you will meet and get to know our representative. He will assist you and give you a short briefing about your safari the next day. Have a good night's rest for tomorrow's adventures.

Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After having breakfast at the lodge, you’ll leave early to Tarangire National Park. It’s the third-largest park in the African country and is characterized by the astonishingly large herds of elephants that may be encountered. The monkey-bread (baobab) trees are one of many highlights in this park. The Tarangire River that flows all year round, is the lifeblood of the park. Several animals, predators and their prey, gather around the stream and you’ll do glorious game viewings. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Njia Panda tented Lodge.

Day 3

Karatu to Serengeti National Park

After having breakfast, you’ll relish morning and afternoon game drives in the Serengeti National Park. Since Serengeti is incredibly large, your game drives can rely upon the movement of the migrants. Your guide is aware of various ways to find the herds. Serengeti National Park is known for the ‘great migration’ of over a million gnu (wildebeest) and two hundred thousand zebra annually. In October, they travel from the mountains of the north, southward to the plains, seeking lush pastures. During the months of May and June, the herds start their return journey. Even if it is not migration season, the Serengeti remains the most exciting and spectacular place that will not fail to enchant. You’ll have dinner and your overnight stay at Serengeti tented camp.

Day 4

Central Serengeti to Northern Serengeti Game Drive

Central Serengeti to Northern Serengeti Game Drive

After breakfast, you’ll experience a game drive following the animal migration in the Northern Serengeti. You’ll see wildebeest, zebra, topi, hartebeest, eland, antelope, hyena, and numerous birds singing in the trees whilst viewing the gorgeous landscape and nature. Usually, in July / August, the migration reaches its northern target where the herds cross the grasslands on either bank of the crocodile-infested Mara River as they complete their migration. You’ll be able to relish the sunset in the Serengeti between 6:20 – 6:40 pm on the game drive, before heading for your stay at Savannah Mara River Tented Camp.

Day 5

Northern Serengeti

After breakfast, we will drive you for a full-day game drive, following the migration animals. The migration will be at the Northern Serengeti where you can see wildebeest, zebra, a topi hartebeest, eland, antelope, hyena, varieties of birds singing on the trees also viewing the beauty of landscape and nature. Usually, in the month of August and November, the migration reaches its northern range. This is the grasslands on either bank of the crocodile-infested Mara River which the herds must cross not once, but twice, as they complete their migration. Also, we will be able to enjoy the sunset at Serengeti between 6:20 pm -6:40 pm after the game drive. Late in the evening, you'll drive back for your overnight stay at Savannah Mara River Tented Camp.

Day 6

After breakfast, we will continue with an en-route game-viewing drive in Serengeti for three hours. We'll arrive at Nabi gate for lunch. After lunch, we proceed to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for dinner and our overnight stay at Ngorongoro Wild Camp.

You'll have an early start at 7:00 am for a game drive (with a picnic lunch) in the Ngorongoro Crater. As animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 feet high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds, and other species.

Your driver-guide will be in contact with other safari drivers and will amaze you with his skill at locating hidden animals. After all the great explorations in Ngorongoro Crater, you will go to Rivertrees Lodge for your overnight stay.
