Our Great Adventures Uganda driver-guide will pick you up from Kigali International Airport or any hotel in Kigali to start your safari to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. This journey is very scenic and will take you through the country of a thousand hills, Rwanda, to the Pearl of Africa, Uganda. You'll cross over the border to Uganda at Katuna or Chanika borders and make a stop at Kabale or Kisoro town before proceeding to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park for an overnight stay.

Gorilla Tracking and Drive back to Kigali

This morning, after your breakfast and with your packed lunch, you will drive to the national park offices for a briefing about the dos and the don’ts while on your gorilla trek. After that, you will be transferred to the starting point of your gorilla walk. Please note that gorilla family allocation depends on your interests, fitness, and age, though there is no guarantee, as these gorillas keep moving and changing locations as you walk to them.

Please inform your guide of your interests, and he will try to request the gorilla family of your choice before you start the trek into the Bwindi forest. Gorilla trekking can be strenuous, and a certain level of fitness is required. Gorilla trekking can take from 30 minutes to three-quarters of the day, so one needs to prepare for both. Your guide will try to provide information about trees, species of birds, and other wildlife in the forest until you reach a given family of gorillas.

You will transfer back to Kigali to end the tour.
