After breakfast, we'll drive for 2 to 3 hours to the Tarangire National Park gate. The park's name originates from the Tarangire River that crosses the park. The landscape is composed of granite ridges, river valleys and swamps. Its vegetation is a mix of acacia woodland, combretum woodland, seasonally flooded grassland, and baobab trees. Tarangire National Park is also home to more than 550 bird species, attracting many bird enthusiasts.

The Southern zone has an endless plain accumulated with savannah grassland, which provides a wide area throughout the year for wildlife such as wildebeest, zebra, Coke’s hartebeest, waterbuck, Grant’s and Thomson gazelle, and impala, to graze. In Seronera Valley, there is dotted acacia vegetation, which appears in a group-like structure known as kopjes, which provides a good vantage for predators to spot their prey and a refuge for hyrax, pythons, lizards and other reptiles. African leopards are not commonly seen here.
