Arrive in Dar-es-salaam

Upon your arrival at Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR), our representative will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel. The drive from the airport to your hotel takes approximately 30 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. Enjoy a relaxing evening and overnight stay at your hotel.

Fly to Kigoma – Boat ride to Gombe + Forest Walk

After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to DAR for your flight to Kigoma. Upon arrival, our representative will collect you and drive you to the Kigoma Hilltop Hotel beachfront, where you will take a boat to Mbali Mbali Gombe Lodge for a hot lunch and a relaxed afternoon

Later in the evening, you will take a Forest Walk, a captivating experience that lets you witness the vibrant primate life of Africa up close. Guided treks through lush jungle trails offer the chance to encounter not only chimpanzees but also other primate species, such as olive baboons, red colobus monkeys, and blue monkeys.

Chimp Trekking & Kayaking

For these two days, every morning is dedicated to tracking chimpanzees and other primate species living in Gombe Stream, such as vervet monkeys, colobus monkeys, and baboons. You will also have plenty of time to take impressive pictures of all primate species and other wildlife you encounter. Later on, you will return to your lodge for a hot lunch and a leisurely afternoon.

The experience is enhanced by the opportunity to observe various wildlife species inhabiting the area, including birds and aquatic life. On one of these two days, you will end your day with a peaceful kayaking trip along the picturesque shores of the lake, surrounded by lush hills, dense forests, and crystal-clear waters.

Transfer to Kigoma for your flight to Darl Visit

After a hearty breakfast, you will board your boat for a scenic ride to Kigoma Hilltop Hotel, where you will meet our representative, who will transfer you to Kigoma Airport for your flight back to Dar es Salaam, where you will connect with your international journey home. It is a bittersweet farewell for both of us, but we genuinely hope to welcome you back soon.
