We proceed to Tarangire National Park, which takes its name from the river with the same name. Its landscape of hills planted with bushes, baobabs and acacias or "sausage trees", attracts plenty of fauna. You can easily observe elephants, gazelles, buffaloes, impalas, elks, cheetahs, lions and oryx. After check-in and lunch at the lodge, we go on a safari. In the dry season, the spectacle of hordes of wildebeest, elephants and zebras migrating to the Tarangire River, is impressive! We will have dinner and our overnight stay in Lake Burunge Tented Camp (Tarangire National Park).

Discover the Beauties of Lake Manyara

After breakfast, you go on a walking safari in the company of a ranger and a Maasai to discover the flora and fauna at the edge of Lake Burunge. You will reach Lake Manyara, located in the north of Tanzania. Surrounded by savannah with trees to the east, a dry forest to the southwest, and a dense tropical forest to the northwest, it has significant biodiversity. Birds are omnipresent, especially pelicans and flamingos. You will also observe many hippos there. Enjoy a picnic in the park, and in the afternoon, drive toward Ngorongoro Park. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at Tloma Lodge (Karatu).

Fascinating Serengeti National Park

Today we head for Serengeti National Park, the most important park in Tanzania and one of the largest preserved ecosystems on the planet. In Maasai, its name means "endless plains". Each year, it offers a spectacle of breathtaking intensity, the phenomenon of the great migration. After lunch, you go on a safari in the heart of green landscapes. Acacias and sausage trees overlook rivers where the animals come to drink. Hordes of wildebeest, gazelles, antelopes, zebras, elephants, and lions populate its immense plains. Later, you will proceed to Kirimu Camp (Central Serengeti) for dinner and your overnight stay.

The Awakening of the Endless Serengeti

Get up at dawn and have a snack before leaving for an early morning safari. This will allow you to see the Serengeti awakens, a unique and unforgettable moment. Then, return for a well-deserved breakfast. Optionally, you can fly over the Serengeti in a hot air balloon. Enjoy lunch at the camp or have a picnic in the park, then proceed on a safari throughout the afternoon. Return to Kirimu Camp (Central Serengeti) for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 5

On the Ridges of Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you leave for the Ngorongoro Crater. The concentration of wild animal life in the heart of the crater is the highest in the world. The majority of species of African fauna are represented there. We have lunch, then continue on the safari in the afternoon. Later, we proceed to Marera Valley Lodge (Karatu) for dinner and our overnight stay.

Optional: Before going down to this magnificent crater, you can hike the crests of the crater, accompanied by experienced rangers.

Meet the Local Maasai Ethnic Group

Meet the Local Maasai Ethnic Group

Have breakfast at the lodge, then go to an authentic Maasai village. You are warmly welcomed and have the opportunity to experience the daily life of these people who have remained unique. You also visit a school that welcomes disadvantaged and orphaned children. Take advantage of this moment to offer them your donations. Return to the lodge for lunch. Go on a bike ride around the lake, visit the "manyatta", then drive to Arusha to reach Kilimanjaro Airport for your return travel back home.
