Travel to Murchison Falls – Track Rhinos En Route

Your 3-day Murchison Falls adventure will begin with an experienced driver-guide picking you up from Kampala. You will then embark on your journey to Uganda's celebrated Murchison Falls National Park. As you drive toward the North-western Uganda where Murchison Falls is situated, you will pass through the infamous Luweero triangle— renowned for the 1981 – 1985 brutal massacres.

You will make your first stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary —the only place in Uganda where rhinos can be observed in their natural habitat. With the aid of park rangers, you will track and encounter the rhinos for an hour before continuing with your journey to Murchison Falls. Your next stop will be in Masindi town, where you will have your lunch.

You will arrive at Murchison Falls National Park in the evening. Before retiring to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, your guide will take you for an evening game drive in the Murchison Falls National Park.

Morning Game Drive – Boat Cruise on the Victoria Nile

Your second day in Murchison Falls will begin with an early game drive, after having your breakfast. Depending on the location of your lodging, you will embark on a game drive in one of the park's famous game viewing tracks: the Albert track, Buligi track, and the Victoria track. Also, the area around Nyamsika gorge and its cliffs has a high concentration of game.

You will see various animals, including four of the Big Five: lions, elephants, leopards, and the Cape buffalo. A game drive in Murchison Falls is also your chance to spot the Uganda kobs, Jackson’s hartebeest, oribis, grey duikers, and bushbucks, among other wildlife that make their abode in the park.

After having lunch, you will head out for a boat cruise along the Victoria Nile. The sight and sound of the gushing and rushing waterfalls are soothing and breathtaking. As you sail upstream to the bottom of the falls, you will spot herds of hippos, crocodiles, and various bird species along the river banks.

Return to Kampala

Very early in the morning, you'll have breakfast of African coffee from the lodge and check out. Our driver then drives you back to Kampala, but there will be a stopover at Masindi town in the Court View Hotel for a delicious African lunch.

You'll arrive in Kampala. If it is still early, you can take a tour in Kampala, or if time is against our wishes, the driver will drop you back to the hotel or to the airport to catch up with the flight if you’re going back.
