Day 1

Iringa Town to Ruaha NP and Afternoon Game Drive

Your driver guide will pick you up from your hotel or your place at 10:00am and drive to Ruaha National Park. Arrive for lunch inside the park and continue with an afternoon game drive until sunset.

An exemplary network of game-viewing roads follows the Great Ruaha and its seasonal tributaries, where, during the dry season, impala, waterbuck, and other antelopes risk their life for a sip of life-sustaining water. And the risk is considerable: not only from the pride of 20-plus lions that lord over the savannah but also from the cheetahs that stalk the open grassland and the leopards that lurk in tangled riverine thickets. This impressive array of large predators is boosted by striped and spotted hyenas and several conspicuous packs of the highly endangered African wild dog.

Day 2

Half Day Game Drive and Return to Iringa Town

Wake up early for a sunrise game drive, which will take about two hours. Then, drive back to the cottage for breakfast. After breakfast, you will proceed with a game drive to explore the park's beauty, full of rocky kopjes and ancient baobab trees. Continue the game drive until 11:00am, then drive back to Iringa. Arrive for lunch in Iringa Town before the driver guide will drop you off at a place of your choice.
