Day 1

Entebbe -Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Entebbe -Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

The driver will pick you from Entebbe or Kampala and transfer you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The drive takes you towards western Uganda. You will stop at the Uganda equator for the welcome photos en-route and have lunch in Mbarara town. Proceed to Bwindi through the traditional homestead and rolling misty hills, before reaching your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 2

Gorilla Trekking and Optional Community Walk

Gorilla Trekking and Optional Community Walk

The day starts early in the morning with breakfast and a cup of coffee, then drive to the park office in your gorilla tracking attire for a briefing about the trek. Begin the trek with a ranger guide through the misty hills of the park. The trek may take 3-5 hours, depending on the movement of the gorillas. You are allowed to spend 1 hour with the gorillas, which is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Return to the lodge for a hot lunch and to relax. In the evening, go for an optional community walk to experience the lifestyle of the locals or stay at the lodge to enjoy nature.

Day 3

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Have a relaxed breakfast and prepare for the scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Drive through the volcanic formation of the western Rift Valley towards Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have a late lunch at the lodge, relax or go for a swim. Go for an evening safari in the Kasenyi plains in search of wildlife like elephants, lions, leopards, giant forest hogs, hippos, antelopes and bird species. Drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4

Chimpanzee Trekking and Boat Cruise

Chimpanzee Trekking and Boat Cruise

Wake up early, have breakfast and drive to the park office in your chimps trekking attire for a briefing about the trekking. The chimpanzee trekking in Kalinzu forest rewards you with the most beautiful ecosystem in Uganda. Over 5 species of primates, like the black and white colobus monkey, red-tailed monkey, olive baboon as well as forest birds can be seen here.

After the amazing walk, drive to the lodge for lunch, and later go on a unique boat cruise along the Kazinga channel. The cruise offers an opportunity to encounter elephants, hippos, buffaloes, crocodiles, antelopes drinking water, cooling off and grazing on the fresh grass by the shores. You will also see water birds, both residents and migrants, for magical photos at a close distance.

Transfer to Entebbe

Transfer to Entebbe

The day begins with a relaxed breakfast, then drive to Entebbe through Fort Portal town, which gives a better view of the foothills of the Rwenzori mountains, green hills, forests and tea plantations. Expect to stop for lunch and a cup of coffee before reaching Kampala. Depending on your flight, you may have a day room for changing then drive to the airport later, or transfer to the airport directly.
