Day 1

Arrival and sunset mokoro ride on the Boteti River

Arrival and sunset mokoro ride on the Boteti River

Your Botswana expedition begins at Maun Airport, where you will be met by your professional guide for a quick twenty-minute transfer to the peaceful Boteti Tented Safari Lodge. Upon arrival, enjoy a refreshing welcome drink and a brief orientation before settling into your luxury elevated tent. Each tent features a private veranda, offering a perfect vantage point to take in the initial sights and sounds of the African bush.

As the afternoon heat begins to fade, you will head to the riverbanks for a signature sunset mokoro safari. Drifting quietly along the Boteti River in a traditional dugout canoe, you can observe hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of vibrant waterbirds at close range. If river levels are too low, this activity is replaced by an authentic cultural tour of Xobe Village.

The day concludes with a traditionally prepared dinner served around a crackling open fire under a brilliant canopy of stars.
