Within a stone’s throw of the centre of Cape Town, Gardens is a chic inner-city district and one of the oldest parts of the city. Staying here means you’re just outside the hustle and bustle of the city with Table Mountain, at whose foot the district lies, looming like a welcome armchair. Houses here have an air of the colonial about them and many are authentic mansions, offering large high-ceilinged rooms with shiny wooden floors. Here you'll also find vibrant and trendy Kloof Street and its southern extension, Long Street. All along here you’ll find restaurants, coffee shops and bistros along with a wide variety of shops and markets peddling creative and authentic wares.

Garth returns you to the airport for your flight to Victoria Falls where you meet your next local guide, Mortimer, who transfers you to your accommodation located in the leafy upmarket residential area of the small yet busy safari town of Victoria Falls. Upon checking-in, Mortimer is available to discuss your stay in Victoria Falls and make any arrangements you may require.

The town of Victoria Falls, just minutes from it's namesake and on the fringes of the Zambezi National Park, is a bustling hive of activity, with the village rightly claiming the title of ‘Adrenaline Capital of Africa’. Although home to a seemingly endless variety of adventure sports, Vic Falls, as the town is called, still has a pioneering and colonial atmosphere and has remained relatively unaffected by Zimbabwe’s economic and political troubles.

We especially recommend “Tour the Township” with our local guide, Mortimer who introduces you to his home turf and often invites our travellers to lunch with his wife and family.

Dining options include African-style feasts with accompanying tribal entertainment at The Boma or Jungle Junction restaurants, as well as an afternoon High Tea at the Victoria Falls Hotel.

This morning offers time for some last-minute curio shopping or an activity like a scenic helicopter flight over the falls before Mortimer returns you to Victoria Falls Airport for your onward travel arrangements. There are daily flights from Victoria Falls to Addis Ababa, Cape Town, Johannesburg and Nairobi.
