Welcome to Tanzania! Pop a bottle of champagne for arriving safely. You will then be transferred from the airport by an Avocet Tanzania Safaris representative and driven to Arusha Coffee Lodge in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you will hopefully have time to relax and prepare for the adventure of a lifetime! Busy Arusha is an essential part of safari life here in northern Tanzania, and most travelers pass through at some stage.

Arusha to Serengeti National Park

You have breakfast, then transfer to Arusha Airport to board a flight at 10:00 am to Serengeti National Park. Arrive at Seronera Airstrip and meet your guide, then depart for a game drive while heading to your hotel for a hot lunch.

Check in at Serengeti Pioneer Luxury Camp followed by a romantic hot lunch. After lunch, you relax a little bit, then venture out for an afternoon game drive. The Serengeti National Park is the world’s last great wildlife refuge as it contains an estimated three million large animals, most of which take part in a seasonal migration that is one of nature’s wonders. The area covers 14,763 sq kms and the name Serengeti comes from the Maasai “Siringet’’, meaning endless plains.

Return to Serengeti Pioneer Luxury Camp for a romantic dinner and overnight stay on a full-board basis.

Balloon Safari in Serengeti National Park

Serengeti Balloon Safaris: There are no words that can do the experience of floating over the Serengeti justice. Get a bird's-eye view of the park as you rise alongside the sun.

The flight lasts about an hour, after which passengers gather around a table, surrounded by the park’s lush plains, for an “Out of Africa” English-style breakfast and pop-up Champagne to celebrate your experience.

You'll spend the entire day in the Central region of the Serengeti on a full-day game drive. Discover the park’s endless plains, kopjes, and wildlife-rich areas, witnessing nature at its most dramatic. You will decide whether to depart with a picnic lunch and a champagne bottle for a bush lunch or return to the lodge for a romantic hot lunch at the camp, then continue with an afternoon game drive. Return to Serengeti Pioneer Luxury Camp for a romantic dinner and overnight on a full board basis.

Central to Northern Serengeti National Park

You will finish a good breakfast and begin your day at 08:00 am, heading to the Northern Serengeti with a picnic lunch for a full-day game drive following the Great Migration.

In the months between mid – June to September, the migration can be found in this region. During this period, the Mara River in this region offers the most dramatic river crossing of the great migration. Fierce, deep, and heavy rain feeds the river and takes an enormous toll on the migrating wildebeest.

Later in the evening, you drive to Serengeti Migration Luxury Camp for relaxation, a romantic dinner, and an overnight stay on a full-board basis.

Northern Serengeti National Park

Watching the wildebeest surging through the torrential flow, with some drowning and a few falling prey to lurking crocodiles, is an unforgettable sight. If it’s your lucky day, you will be able to witness this natural wonder and watch nature take its course.

Tracing the great migration, you might even move towards the Lobo Valley. During the dry season, the permanent water sources in the valley attract plenty of residents and migratory animals. During the full-day game drive, you will have a stop where you can have your picnic lunch.

Later, you return to Serengeti Migration Luxury Camp for a romantic dinner and an overnight stay on a full-board basis.

After breakfast, you will transfer to Kogatende Airstrip en route to a game drive to board your flight back to Arusha at 11:00 am, with picnic lunch boxes.
