Day 1

Arrival Day within the Kruger National Park

Arrival Day within the Kruger National Park

We will pick you up at Johannesburg International Airport or accommodation, and provide a guided transfer to the Kruger National Park. Your guide will inform you of all that you are seeing, including history, culture and scenery.

Upon arrival at the Kruger entrance gate, you will enter the reserve and immediately be on game drive and begin viewing animals, as you make your way to the camp you'll be staying at. After booking into your accommodation inside the actual Kruger National Park, Crocodile Bridge (or similar) you will embark on your first small game drive to get your first feel of the African bush. The length of the drive will depend on what time we manage to leave the airport and how tired you the weary traveler are. This is also the great benefit of having your own private guide and vehicle, the flexibility. Your professional and knowledgeable guide will show you all there is to see and focus on any personal interests you may have like photography or birdwatching.

Day 2

Full Day Safari

Full Day Safari

Wake before sunrise to get a head start on things, this is the best time to view the game as nocturnal animals are still active and the other animals use the cool of the morning to move to the watering holes. Take in the sights and the smells as you enjoy Africa at its finest! Move along before stopping for a cooked breakfast which is prepared outdoors at a picnic site, with magnificent views of the surrounding bushveld, whilst the wildlife comes down to drink.

During the heat of the day return to camp (unless you'd prefer to keep game viewing, this is a private safari after all), to relax by the pool or under the garden trees as you identify many birds found here. Just before sunset, you will set off in an open safari vehicle with the Kruger Rangers to enjoy a 3-hour night drive with spotlights. Return to camp for a wonderful dinner, prepared by your guide in true South African style, on open coals and under the African stars.

Day 3

Full Day Safari & Alternate Activities

Full Day Safari & Alternate Activities

Start this day much like the day before, an early rise to catch the worm (or lion) and a 3-hour open vehicle game drive. You’ll drive to another section of the park for some variety, ticking off new species as you go, on your ever-growing animal list. Stop along the way in a beautiful and secluded spot for some breakfast snacks and some well-deserved coffee. You'll return to the camp for a cooked brunch before checking out and heading to your next camp.

Carry on at a leisurely pace, as the habitat changes before your eyes. On arrival at your new camp check in and freshen up. Later, set off on your afternoon game drive. Again, your guide will find a great spot to have a couple of sundowners and afternoon snacks of cheese, biscuits and traditional South African biltong, as you gaze over the vast savannah! Return to the camp, then meet up around the campfire to share the stories of the day. Dinner will be served under the stars again!

Day 4

Departure Day

Departure Day

Have your 3rd and final Game drive in an open safari vehicle with the Kruger guides. You will leave at sunrise, then be back at camp for a cooked breakfast and check out. We’ll have a small drive through the park as we make our way toward the exit gate and hopefully get one last glimpse of something special. Then it’s your transfer onto the airport to depart with some fine memories of time well spent.

At this point, you can visit the Blyde River Canyon on the way back to Johannesburg or even add an extra night if you would like to explore the region extensively. Let us know if you would like this option when you enquire.
