Day 1

After an early morning breakfast in Entebbe or Kampala, your guide driver will pick you up and you’ll head to Lake Mburo National Park, with a stop at the Equator Line for photos and a brief lesson on this unique geographical landmark. Upon arrival at the park, you’ll check into Rwakobo Rock eco-lodge. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive to see zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, and antelopes, followed by a boat cruise on Lake Mburo to spot hippos, crocodiles, and water birds. Return to the lodge for a relaxing dinner and overnight stay, immersed in the park’s natural beauty.

Day 2

Following an early breakfast at the lodge, your day begins with a walking safari within Lake Mburo National Park. Accompanied by an expert guide, this walking safari allows you to engage with the wilderness on foot, giving you a deeper appreciation of the environment and its wildlife. You’ll have the chance to learn about animal tracks, plants, and the sounds of the bush, experiencing the park in a completely different way than from a vehicle.
After the walk, you will enjoy a short game drive in the park before transferring to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. The drive to Mgahinga will take you through picturesque landscapes of rolling hills and lush forests, with views of the Virunga volcanoes in the distance.
Upon arrival at Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, you will check into Travellers Rest Hotel, a comfortable lodge offering a peaceful atmosphere close to the park. After settling in, you’ll have some time to relax before dinner. Overnight at Travelers Rest Hotel.

Day 3

Gorilla Tracking, Bwindi/Mgahinga Gorilla NP - Lake Bunyonyi

After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing by the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) rangers station on gorilla tracking rules and safety. Then, embark on a trek through dense forest and rugged terrain in search of a mountain gorilla family in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. The hike can last from 1 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ location. Once found, you’ll have an hour to observe these majestic creatures. After the trek, return to the rangers station and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. Check into Arcadia Cottages, located by the lake, offering stunning views. Enjoy a peaceful evening with the option of a boat ride on the lake before dinner. Overnight at Arcadia Cottages or a similar lodge.

Day 4

After a leisurely breakfast at the lodge, you will begin your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe. On the way, you will stop in Mbarara, a bustling town where you can enjoy a delicious Ugandan lunch. You will then continue your drive, passing through picturesque landscapes and making a brief stop at the Equator for one final photo opportunity.
Arriving in Kampala or Entebbe, your guide will drop you off at your residence or at Entebbe International Airport for your onward travel. This marks the end of your memorable 4-day Uganda safari, filled with unforgettable wildlife experiences and breathtaking landscapes.
