Transfer from Kigali to Volcanoes National Park

Pick-up from your hotel or airport by Simba African Expeditions driver/guide and travel northwards to Volcanoes National Park. It is a 3-hour drive through the lush highlands. Get to your accommodation at the edge of Volcanoes National Park, relax, enjoy the spectacular views of the mountain scenery, have meals and rest the night.

Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

Have an early breakfast at 6.00am, pick packed lunch, not leaving behind drinking water (at least one litter) and rain court, and transfer to the park headquarters at Kinigi. You are allocated a ranger to brief you about the gorilla trekking expedition and allocate a gorilla family you shall trek. At 8:00am, transfer to the start of the trek and move into the jungles to find the Mountain Gorillas. When you find the Mountain Gorillas, you are allowed not more than an hour to view and photograph the gorillas. Return at the start of the trek to meet your driver and transfer to the lodge. Relax, have dinner and rest the night.

Transfer back to Kigali, City Tour

Have early breakfast, check out of the lodge and leave for Kigali. On arrival into Kigali, you will set out to do a tour of this vibrant city that is one of the fastest growing cities in Africa. You shall visit the Genocide Memorial, and crafts markets. Lunch during the city tour. In the evening you shall transfer to your accommodation or airport for end of the tour.
