Day 1

Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

You will be met in the morning at the hotel or airport for a briefing before departing for a 6-hour drive to the famous Masai Mara National Reserve. This reserve is contiguous with Serengeti and is known for its spectacular great wildebeest migration and is home to the Big Five; lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo and rhino. You will arrive in time for lunch at the camp followed by some rest before heading out for a visit to a Masai village or nature walk.

Day 2

Masai Mara National Reserve

Pick your lunch boxes after an early breakfast for a full day game drive in the park until evening. Get back to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Optional: Balloon safari
Enjoy an early morning transfer to the launch site followed by the pilot briefing. Hop into the balloon basket for take-off just before sunrise. The flight will last approximately 1hour, depending on wind conditions, and the balloon will land between 7:30 and 7:45 am. On landing, you can observe the complete deflation of the balloon envelope. You will then be transferred to a nearby bush breakfast site. Full breakfast will be set up on the picturesque savannah plains of the Mara, typically under the shade of a big tree.

Day 3

Masai Mara National Reserve to Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, depart for a 4 hours drive to Lake Nakuru. Besides the flamingos that the lake is famous for, there are approximately 400 other species of birds. In addition, many species of game can be found in the park including Rothschild’s giraffe, black and white rhino, waterbuck, reedbuck, lion, buffalo, leopard, baboon, warthog, hyrax and many other species. A boat safari to see birdlife, hippos and other wildlife could be organized at an extra cost. You'll arrive at Lake Nakuru for late lunch before an afternoon game drive till sunset.

Lake Nakuru National Park to Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, depart for a 5.5-hour drive via Nairobi and through the scenic Athi Plains into Amboseli National Park. This is a famous location for viewing Africa's highest snow-capped mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro. It is home to big herds of elephants and other wild game such as the lion, cheetah, antelope, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo and the giraffe. On arrival, check-in at the lodge on time for lunch. Relax for a while before joining your driver-guide for an afternoon game drive in the park until sunset.
