Arrival Botswana | Travel To The Okavango Delta | Thrilling Game Drive

On arrival in Botswana, you will be welcomed and picked by our Kubwa Five Safaris guide who will be holding an A4 paper with your name printed on it at Maun Airport in the morning hours, and be transferred to Okavango Delta.

On arrival in Okavango, you will go for an evening game drive. The Okavango Delta is home to some of the world’s most remarkable and endangered mammals. They move between the fertile plains and the fringes of the marshland, making for incredible game viewing.

Throughout the Okavango, it’s possible to spot rare predators like cheetahs, lions, leopards, and African wild dogs. Endangered black and white rhinoceros, zebras, various species of antelopes, giraffes, buffaloes and elephants also thrive in the delta and surrounding plains.

Morning Game Drive | Bush Breakfast | Mokoro Trip (Canoeing) | Night Game Drive

You will have a morning game drive (with breakfast served in the bush). There are large animal populations in the Okavango Delta that are otherwise rare, such as Nile crocodile, red lechwe, sitatunga, elephant, wild dog, buffalo, wattled crane and many more common mammals and bird life.

Afterwards, return to the lodge for lunch.

After lunch, you will go on a mokoro trip leading into a late afternoon drive with dinner in the bush, completed with a night drive till about 21h00.

The mokoro or makoro (mekoro, plural), is a traditional canoe-like vessel commonly used in the Okavango Delta as a popular mode of transport.

Transfer To The Airport | Fly Into Khwai Airstrip | Transfer To Moremi Game Reserve | Game Drive

After breakfast, transfer for a charter flight to Khwai Airstrip.

On arrival at the airstrip, you will be welcomed and picked up by our Kubwa Five Safaris guide, driven to your lodge for lunch and then you will relax for a while before heading out for an evening game drive.

The Moremi Game reserve boasts spectacular game viewing and bird watching, in fact, it's estimated to be home to close to 400 species of birds. The Game viewing is excellent year-round. Exploring Moremi Game Reserve means going deep into the Okavango Delta and seeing so much of the wildlife it has to offer. At the heart of the reserve is a peninsula that reaches deep into the Delta and is surrounded by water.

This is where you can expect to see giants like hippos, crocs, elephants and more, as well as the big cats that live here in great numbers. The Big Five is also possible here.

Morning And Evening Game Drives In Moremi Game Reserve

On this day, you will have a full day of game drives in the Reserve. You will have a delightful breakfast before heading out for the game drives. The game viewing is excellent all year-round.

You can expect to encounter migratory and endangered wildlife such as elephants, red lechwe, giraffes, buffaloes, and zebras as well as predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas.

Fly To Kasane Airport | Travel To Chobe National Park | Game Drive

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Khwai Airstrip where you will take a flight to Kasane Airport.

On arrival in Kasane Airport, you will be welcomed and picked up by our Kubwa Five Safaris guide and driven to Chobe National Park.

Chobe Game Lodge does not have an airstrip, so all flights to and from Kasane. Again this charter is in included in the package rate thus there is no separate cost element available for this package.

Upon arrival you will be welcomed into the lodge and briefed on all the facilities there and the activities on offer. Please express any preference to the management at this stage. Depending on the arrival time, you will have a short drive.

After breakfast, you will head out to spend more time getting to know Chobe National Park.

Chobe National Park is one of the top safari destinations in Africa, with one of the largest concentrations of wildlife on the continent spread across a vast area of nearly 12000 square kilometers.

The morning game drive will run from 6am to 12noon.

After the morning game drive, you will have the boat cruise from 3pm to 6pm.

Later in the evening, you will be taken back to the lodge.
