Arrival

You will be met upon arrival and transferred to your hotel. Refresh and begin your sightseeing of Addis with a drive up to mount Entoto for a panoramic view of Addis. Descend down and drive to National museum where you will have a chance to spot the oldest hominids of ‘Lucy’ fossil. Visit and proceed to the Holy Trinity built during the WWII. Later you will drive to your hotel for the overnight.

Day 2

Harar

You will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Dire Dawa, the second biggest city in Ethiopia. Visit the colorful Kefira market and the oldest railway station in Ethiopia from 1905. Visit and proceed to Harar. In the afternoon you will begin the sightseeing of Harar with the drive to one of the local hararie houses which are highly elaborated with the traditional hararie utensils and traditional man made rugs. Then proceed to the colorful spice market.

Harar

Harar is a labyrinth of small streets surrounded by old city walls is the fourth holiest city for the Muslim people next to Mecca, Medina and Jerusalem. Its architecture reflects a strong Islamic influence. The sightseeing of Harar will include the French poet –Rimbaud house, the harari museum and the tomb of Emir Nur who built the Harar walls known as Jugol.

Day 4

Awash National Park

Awash National Park

You will begin your journey to Awash visiting en route the Aweda colorful chat market. Proceed to Awash National park, situated in the Rift valley, home to a diverse range of plains wildlife and offers tremendous bird watching opportunities, with over 400 species recorded here. Late in the day you will have a game drive within the park where you may get a chance to see Beisa Oryx, Hamadryas baboon, ostrich, Salt’s dik-dik, Soemmering’s gazelle.

Langano

Langano

You will begin your drive down southwards to Langano. En route visit Lake Ziway the largest of the upper Rift Valley lakes with an area of 400 sq. km. Its shores are creased with water lilies, breeding place for different Ethiopian. Proceed towards the Lake Langano. The lake is a place to enjoy water activities. You will enjoy the rest of the day at the Sabana Lodge.

Dinsho

Dinsho

After having your breakfast you will drive to Goba having a stop at Dinsho, headquarter of Bale Mountains National Park. Here you may encounter the endemics of Mountain Nyala, Menelik Bushbuck. Then proceed to Bale Mountains Lodge for check in. In the evening you will drive to the place where you may see the endemic of Black Mann Abyssinian Lion.

Sanattee Plateau

Today you will have an excursion to Sanetti Plateau, the highest plateau in Africa. Here you may encounter the endemics of Ethiopia Wolf. Visit and proceed to Harrena Forest, the second dense forest in Ethiopia and also the home so many different type of birds and wild animals. You will be escorted by the park rangers and explore the different part of the terrain and mountains.

Day 8

Dorze Village

Morning you will begin your journey to Arba Minch visiting en route the Alaba village who’s expiring in making traditional house and paintings. Later you will proceed to the Doreze village who are expert in weaving called Shammas. The shape of their house looks Elephant, in order to remember the existence of these animals around the area many years ago. Enset “fake banana” is the stable food for these peoples. Visit and drive to Arab Minch for the overnight.

Day 9

After having your breakfast you will take a boat cruise on the Lake Chamo, the third biggest Lake in Ethiopia. On the Lake you may have a chance to see the Nile crocodiles, hippos and different types of birds. Later you will proceed to Turmi visiting en route the Konso village, one of the UNESCO site in Ethiopia know by their terracing. One of the best types of coffee for the country is also from this village. After lunch you will proceed to Turmi visiting en route the Banna village. In the evening you will enjoy the sunset at the Buska Lodge.

Day 10

Murulle and Nyangatom Villages

Murulle and Nyangatom Villages

This day you will drive to Murulle where you can find the Karo people. Karo People is very famous for their splendid body decoration, which they paint their bodies and faces with white chalk to prepare for a ceremony. The women scar their chest believing it makes them beautiful. The men's scars represent an enemy or dangerous animal killed. Visit and proceed to Nyangatom who lives on the omo basin about 3000 individuals. Ornamentation of the women is designed not only for beauty, but also to assert the woman’s social status. In addition, both men and women have labial piercing with different metal, wood, or ivory decorations. Late in the afternoon you will visit the Hammer village, the most beautiful ethnics in the lower omo valley. You will be back to the Buska Lodge for your overnight.

Omorate

After having your breakfast, you will have an excursion to Omorate to visit the Dassanech people ‘people of the Delta’, who lives on the northern shore of Lake Turkana. Visit and drive back to Turmi. After lunch you will drive to Jinka sightseeing en route. If the day match on Thursday, you will attain the most colorful market of Key Afer for the people of Ari, Banna, Hamer and Tsemay. Then you will drive to Eco-omo Lodge for the overnight.

Day 12

Mursi Village

Mursi Village

Take a day excursion to Mago National Park to visit the Mursi village. The Mursi are one of the exotic ethnic groups in Ethiopia. They live in very low huts made of straw leaves. The women like to wear terra cotta on their enormously stretched lower lips and ear lobes. Drive back to Jinka. After lunch you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back to Addis.

In the evening attend a folkloric dinner where you will have a chance to taste several national dishes and watch dances of the various ethnic groups of Ethiopia. The traditional coffee ceremony will also be served. Later you will be transferred to the airport for your departure.
