Welcome to Uganda, the Pearl of Africa. Our guide from Kwezi Outdoors shall meet you at the airport. After pre-trip briefing, you will begin your primates adventure in Uganda. Transfer to Kibale National Park in the west of Uganda. You will stop over for lunch in Fort Portal the city that sits on the foothills of Africa's longest mountain range, the Rwenzori Mountains. After lunch, proceed to your accommodation on the edge of the Kibale National Park.
In the afternoon, take a nature walk in the Bigodi Wetland which is a sanctuary for colourful birds, and monkeys. The wetland sanctuary found next to the national park is a preview of what to expect when you go trekking in the park. Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary is a community-run initiative that offers guided walks through a swamp area. It's an excellent opportunity for birdwatching and observing other wildlife, including primates and butterflies.

Kibale National Park offers a unique and immersive experience for nature enthusiasts, providing a glimpse into the fascinating world of primates and tropical rainforests in the heart of Africa - in Uganda.
The park is most famous for the high concentration of chimpanzees. Your expert guide will share the secrets of the chimps, the forest dwellers, and the sights and sounds that make Kibale one of the loveliest and most varied parks in Uganda. You'll also look out for other primates such as L’Hoest’s, red Colobus, red-tailed and blue monkeys.
After lunch, drive farther south crossing the equator into the southern hemisphere and the Queen Elizabeth National Park. Accommodation and overnight at your lodge near the park. Depending on the time of arrival, you have the option to explore the crater lakes or an evening game drive.

Day 4

Transfer to Bwindi

Transfer to Bwindi

This morning you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Your safari will take you through the Ishasha sector of the Queen Elizabeth National Park. Look out for the famous residents - the tree-climbing lions who love hanging out in the fig trees along the park road. You may also see many other animals on this track. If you are lucky you may even see a troop of chimpanzees.
You will arrive at your at your accommodation in the late afternoon. You may choose to rest and enjoy the Bwindi jungle sounds and sights or take a guided community tour through the village.

These monkeys are endemic to the Albertine Rift and are found in the Virunga Mountains, making Mgahinga a precious sanctuary for their conservation. Golden monkey trekking offers a unique opportunity to encounter the vibrant and playful golden monkeys in their natural habitat. Embarking on this trek is a venture into the heart of Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, where the golden-maned primates gracefully dance amidst the mist-covered slopes. Golden monkey trekking involves a guided hike through the bamboo forests of Mgahinga. Transfer to Entebbe

Transfer to Entebbe

After an adventure with Uganda's great and beautiful primates, it is time to take the memories back home. Transfer back to Entebbe with a stopover at the equator. It's a great place for photos as you cross the middle of the world from the southern to the northern hemisphere. You will continue to Entebbe where your safari ends.
