Arusha - Lake Manyara National Park
After an early breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park from Arusha or the airport. The park is well known for its abundance of birds and diverse trees, including sausage trees, umbrella trees, baobabs, and palms. Lake Manyara hosts over 400 bird species, such as pink flamingos, yellow-billed storks, herons, and corkscrews. Although small, the park is home to mammals including zebras, lions, baboons, impalas, wildebeest, hippos, elephants, and buffaloes. It offers a relaxing and tranquil environment. The name “Manyara” comes from the Maasai word for the trees used to create hedges. Two-thirds of the park is an alkaline lake, making it mostly submerged in alkaline water. This destination is ideal for adventurous, thrill-seeking, and nature-loving travelers. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the camp.
