Tarangire National Park

In the morning, you will be picked up from your accommodation in Arusha and we'll drive to Tarangire National Park. The park runs along the line of Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa, from June-October. The fierce sun sucks the moisture from the landscape, baking the earth a dusty red, the withered grass as brittle as straw. As well as large elephant herds, you will have great possibility to spot both lions, giraffes, buffaloes and much more. After a picnic lunch, we'll do an afternoon game drive, and then continue to mto wa mbu for overnight.

Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park

In the morning after breakfast, we will continue our safari to Lake Manyara National Park. The park is perhaps best known for its flamingos and pelicans but it is also the home for a few hundred other species of birds; it is, therefore, a paradise for ornithologists. With a bit of luck, you might see elephants in the wooded regions and with even more fortune the tree-climbing lions. It was thought for a long time that the Lake Manyara is the only place where lions can be found with this atypical behavior of climbing trees. Baboons and velvet monkeys are also found amongst the forested areas and in the more open spaces, giraffes nibble at the fresh leaves while various types of antelopes, common to the region browse for tasty shoots. After a picnic lunch, there will be more time for further game and wildlife watching before it is time to head back to your accommodation, the Panorama public campsite, for dinner and your overnight stay.

Best Time To Visit June to October (Easier to spot animals)

Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, we'll continue towards the Serengeti National Park. As the drive from Karatu is a few hours, we will eat our lunch on the way to the park or just before entering. Once we have arrived, we will continue will afternoon game drives. The name Serengeti come from Maasai language and it means “endless plains”. The Serengeti is host to one of nature’s most magnificent phenomena, the Great Migration. Over a million wildebeests make a 600 mile pilgrimage though crocodile-infested water on the annual exodus north. They return to the South to replenish the species in a brief population explosion that produces more than 8,000 calves daily before the pilgrimage begins again. Depending on the seasons, our game-drive will take us to various parts of the Serengeti. After the game-drive and watching the beautiful sunset over the plains, we will continue to the Serengeti Seronera public campsite, where you will overnight and enjoy your dinner.

Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro CA

On this day, we will suggest a very early wake-up call in order to do an early morning game drive (when the animals are more active) and to see one of the best sunrises you'll ever witness. After the game drive, we'll return to the camp for a rewarding brunch, and then we'll proceed to Ngorongoro, the 8th Wonder of the Natural World. The crater spreads for 102 sq miles and has 2,000 ft high walls, making it virtually Noah's ark and inhabiting almost every species of wildlife that is indigenous to East Africa. It's one of the very rare locations in the whole continent where you can witness the black rhino. The crater has a river, several swamps, a soda lake with a great concentration of flamingos, a forest and open plains. It's also famous for its elephants which, are the largest in the world and have huge tusks. Ngorongoro Crater is truly a Wonder of the Natural World.

Game drives through the Ngorongoro Crater begin early in the morning in safari vehicles with pop-up roofs. The descent into the crater is one of scenic beauty, as you make your way through lush forests, home to numerous elephants and buffaloes.
