Transfer to Bwindi National Park

After breakfast, you will set off for the 8 to 9-hour drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in the southwestern part of the country. You will have a stopover at the equator where you will have an opportunity to stand in 2 hemispheres at the same time and take some photos. You will make another stopover for lunch before continuing with your journey to Bwindi, arriving in the evening. Dinner and overnight will be at Broadbill Forest Camp.

Day 2

Gorilla Trekking Experience

Gorilla Trekking Experience

You will have an early breakfast and go to the park's headquarters at 7:45 am to join other trackers for a briefing about the gorilla-trekking rules. You will trek through thick creepers and undergrowth with your guides to find the gorillas. This can take anywhere between 1 and 8 hours. The steeply forested landscape is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails, allowing access to tourists. You will have 1 hour to spend with the gorillas once sighted. Dinner and overnight will be at Broadbill Forest Camp.

Visit Lake Bunyonyi and Transfer Back to Entebbe

Wake up early in the morning and have your breakfast which will mark the end of your stay in the "Land of the Mountain Gorillas". Depart with great memories of the moments spent with the fascinating mountain gorillas.

You will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, said to be one of the most beautiful places in Western Uganda. It is the second-deepest lake in Africa (900 meters) and also one of the few places in the country where it is considered safe to swim as it is bilharzia free. Take a tour on this lake before returning to Entebbe with an en-route lunch. Head to Entebbe Airport where you will catch your flight back home.
