Johannesburg - Bakubung Bush Lodge

Guests are picked up early in Johannesburg from the Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport or any hotel in Johannesburg and driven to Pilanesberg Game Reserve. Arrive at Bakubung Bush Lodge at midday after exploring the game reserve for a few hours. Have a light lunch and relax before it’s time to depart for a late-afternoon game drive in the reserve. Game drives are in an open safari vehicle with a professional ranger. Return to the lodge as the sun is setting and enjoy a starlit dinner around the firepit on warm evenings.

Open Vehicle Safari Drives

Set off early after hot beverages for a 3-hour sunrise game drive in the Pilanesberg Game Reserve in an open safari vehicle with a professional ranger. Return to the lodge for breakfast and keep yourself busy with everything there is to do at Bakubung. For an additional cost, you can join a guided bush walk or a game tracking activity, or visit the reserve’s wildlife centre or Predator’s World. Depart late in the afternoon for the game drive. Have dinner around the boma on warm evenings.
