Johannesburg to Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge

Guests are picked up early from Johannesburg OR Tambo International Airport or any hotel in Johannesburg. From here, we will drive you to Pilanesberg Game Reserve. Upon arrival at the reserve at midday, we will explore the game reserve for a few hours before enjoying a light lunch. Relax after lunch before departing on a late-afternoon game drive in the reserve. Game drives are in an open safari vehicle with a professional ranger. We will return to the lodge as the sun sets and enjoy a delicious dinner at the restaurant.

Game Drives in Open Vehicles

We will set off early on a 3-hour sunrise game drive in the Pilanesberg Game Reserve after having had hot beverages. The game drive will take place in an open safari vehicle accompanied by a professional ranger. We will return to the lodge for breakfast, and you can keep yourself busy with everything there is to do at Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge for the remainder of the day. At an additional cost, you can join a guided bush walk or a game-tracking activity or visit the reserve’s wildlife center or Predator World. Finally, we will depart late afternoon on another game drive—dinner at the lodge restaurant.

Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge to Johannesburg

Wake up early for hot beverages and then depart on a 3-hour sunrise game drive in the Pilanesberg Game Reserve. We will return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast, pack up, and prepare to leave mid-morning. From here, you can enjoy another game drive in a closed tour vehicle in the reserve or have a few hours of fun at Sun City Resort and Casino (a short drive away). Finally, depart mid-afternoon for the return journey to Johannesburg.
