3-Day Under the Stars; Camping in Nyerere National Park

Dar Es Salaam to Nyerere National Park

Early in the morning, your guide will collect you from the hotel. After breakfast, begin your safari journey to Nyerere National Park, a scenic drive of about three to four hours. Upon arrival, enjoy a hot lunch and take some time to relax before heading out at 4:00 pm for an unforgettable boat safari. Cruise along the Rufiji River, where you’ll witness crocodiles basking on the banks, pods of hippos cooling in the water, and a variety of colorful aquatic birds. As the sun sets, return to camp around 6:30 pm for a refreshing hot shower, followed by dinner and an overnight stay surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

At the early morning wake-up call, you will pack your breakfast and lunch boxes and proceed on the game drive. Drive to the picnic site for breakfast and continue with your game drive. You will have a stop for lunch and then again continue with the game drive until the evening. Head to the park's exit gate and proceed to the camp for a shower, dinner, and overnight.

Nyerere National Park to Dar Es Salaam

Wake up early and enjoy a cup of coffee before setting out on a guided walking safari with an experienced ranger. This unique experience allows you to discover the finer details of the bush often missed on game drives — from animal footprints and insects to ground-nesting birds and fascinating plant life. After about two and a half hours on foot, return to camp around 8:30 am for breakfast. Later, pack your belongings and begin the drive back to Dar es Salaam, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your safari adventure.
