Day 1

Arrival and transfer to Kampala

Arrive Entebbe International Airport to be warmly received by a company representative and transferred to your overnight accommodation to refresh and rest. If you arrives early in the day you will have a chance to see some of the interesting things around Kampala city and enjoy a cup of Uganda’s aroma coffee. Return to your overnight accommodation for an early dinner and rest for an early start the next day.

Day 2

Kampala -Murchison Falls National Park ( rhino tracking and visit to the top of the falls)

Today we start off early at 7:00 am to transfer to Murchison Falls National Park a must-see for a variety of wildlife. Stop to track the rhinos at Ziwa Sanctuary a private ranch that protects the re-introduced Rhinos into Uganda’s wilderness. Proceed to have lunch in Masindi town before entering the park to head to the top of the falls to marvel at this unique mass of water before driving on to check in and put your feet up in wait for a sumptuous dinner and a quite restful night in the wild.

Day 3

Murchison Falls National Park - game drive and boat cruise

Murchison Falls National Park - game drive and boat cruise

Start the day early heading out for a morning game drive with chances of witnessing some cats hunting for their morning meal. This activity lasts about 3-4 hours returning to the lodge at about 10:00am to rest and enjoy a late breakfast. Head out after lunch, for a boat cruise along River Nile that finishes close to the bottom of the falls. This boat cruise gives you the opportunity to see where the world’s longest river explodes violently through a narrow cleft in the Rift Valley escarpment to drop into a foaming pool 44m below. Get to see hippopotamus at close range and other wildlife species like birds plus the day’s highlight, the huge crocodiles on the river banks.

Bring a well charged camera for stunning photograph opportunities, for great memories of your holiday to Uganda. Your driver/guide will be waiting for you.

Day 4

Transfer from Murchison Falls National Park - Fort portal

Transfer from Murchison Falls National Park - Fort portal

With bags ready to go and early breakfast – start the day at dawn with a game drive to spot some nocturnal animals and other wildlife including some of the big five like lions, elephants and leopards. The others are warthogs, water and bush bucks, buffaloes, giraffes, topi, and oribi among others. Drive through the game circuits as we exit the park via the southern side with fantastic views of the escarpments in the rift valleys on the way to Fort portal with lunch en-route in Hoima town.

Arrive Fort portal in the early evening welcomed by the great views of the fabled “mountains of the moon”.

Day 5

Kibale Forest National Park - Chimpanzee trekking

Kibale Forest National Park - Chimpanzee trekking

Wake up for an early breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for briefing about the park and the rules that guide chimpanzee trekking. After the brief head into the tropical rain forest accompanied by a ranger guide to search for the chimpanzees and other primates like the black and white Colobus, vervet monkeys, and mangabey among others.

Return from the trek to have lunch and thereafter set off to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On arrival check in to rest and thereafter head for a brief evening game drive at Kasenyi mating ground to spot some wildlife species like elephants, lions, buffaloes, water and bush buck, warthogs and Uganda Kobs, before returning for dinner.

Day 6

Kyambura Gorge nature walk and transfer to Entebbe

Kyambura Gorge nature walk and transfer to Entebbe

After an early breakfast and with bags ready head to Kyambura gorge for a primate walk before proceeding to Entebbe. The gorge has a variety of species that include: black-and-white colobus, red tailed monkeys, baboons, vervet monkeys, and chimpanzees. Bird species to see here include: blue-headed bee-eater and African fi- toot among others.

A walk in the gorge is unpredictable but is definitely rewarding because of its diverse fauna and flora. Return from Kyambura gorge to proceed to Entebbe with lunch along the way. We will have another stop at the equator to have a look at curios for possible souvenirs to take home before finally proceeding to Entebbe for dinner and overnight.
