1-Day Hiking via Marangu Route Kilimanjaro

• You'll be collected from the airport.

Our adventure begins with a short drive to the Marangu Gate, which takes just under two hours from Arusha. Upon arrival at the gate, we’ll complete registration formalities and enter Kilimanjaro National Park, ready to begin our ascent along the Marangu Route, also known as the "Coca-Cola Route." This trail approaches the mountain from the southeast and begins with a steady climb through lush montane forest, a misty, green world filled with towering trees, hanging moss, and diverse wildlife.

As we hike, we may be lucky enough to spot blue monkeys or the striking black-and-white colobus monkeys leaping through the canopy. Keep an eye out sharp-eyed trekkers might also spot colorful chameleons blending in among the foliage. We’ll trek for about four to five hours, depending on our pace, before reaching Mandara Hut, our first overnight stop nestled in the forest.
