Day 1

Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your Cape Town hotel. Enjoy a scenic drive through the Hex River Valley and past the rugged peaks of the Western Cape mountains, watching the landscape change as you head into the semi-arid Karoo region. Upon arrival at Aquila Game Reserve, you’ll be welcomed with a refreshing drink and given time to relax before your safari begins. Climb aboard an open safari vehicle for a professionally guided game drive. Keep your camera ready for possible sightings of the Big 5 lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino and a variety of birdlife and wildlife. Your experienced ranger will share fascinating insights into the wildlife and the reserve’s conservation efforts.
