After a relaxed breakfast at your hotel in Kigali, your English-speaking driver-guide will meet you for a safari briefing. Begin your journey with a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a powerful tribute to the victims of the 1994 genocide. The visit lasts approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. 1st Gorilla Trek – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Following an early breakfast, transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for your first gorilla trekking experience. After a pre-trek briefing, set out into the dense forest accompanied by experienced rangers to locate one of the habituated gorilla families. Trekking can take 2–6 hours depending on the location of the group. Spend an unforgettable hour with the gorillas before returning to your lodge to relax. 2nd Optional Gorilla Trek – Bwindi/Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

After breakfast, head to the Mgahinga Gorilla National Park ranger station for your second gorilla trek. Following a safety and conservation briefing, you’ll trek through bamboo-covered hills in search of a different gorilla family. As before, once located, you’ll have a full hour to observe them in their natural habitat. Alternative you’ll go for the included Golden Monkey Trekking. Return to the lodge for some well-deserved rest.
