Enjoy an early breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for a detailed briefing about gorilla trekking. Accompanied by experienced rangers, hike through dense forest in search of a habituated gorilla family. Once located, spend a full hour watching their behavior, from feeding to nurturing young ones. The trek can last from two to six hours depending on gorilla movements. Return to your lodge for relaxation.

After breakfast, set out for a full-day immersion in the traditions of the Batwa people, the indigenous forest dwellers of Bwindi. Led by Batwa guides, walk the forest trails they once called home, learn ancient hunting and gathering skills, and listen to their songs and stories that preserve their heritage. In the afternoon, visit a local coffee farm where you will join farmers in harvesting, roasting, and brewing fresh Arabica coffee for a true farm-to-cup experience. This cultural and community encounter offers a deeper understanding of life in Bwindi beyond the gorillas.
For those who wish to maximize primate encounters, an optional second gorilla trek in Bwindi can be arranged instead of the cultural activities (advance booking required, gorilla permit fees apply). Overnight at Travelers Rest Hotel or similar.
