Arrival and Transfer from the Airport to Arusha

Our representative will meet you on arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport. Transfer to your accommodation in Arusha for an overnight stay.

If you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, the drive to the hotel in Arusha will take about 45 minutes, a distance of around 50km (31mi).

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you will meet an office representative or tour guide for a briefing about your safari, then take a 2-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Along the way, you will take in the scenic views of the grassland plains dotted with ancient baobab trees, nomadic people (Masai) in their colourful dresses walking along the roadside, riding bicycles, herding cattle and driving donkey carts and traditional Masai houses.

Tarangire National Park is known for ancient baobab trees, tree-climbing pythons, and the largest concentration of African elephants, lions, leopards, and cheetahs. After a picnic lunch at midday, you will resume your afternoon game drive and then drive to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Ngorongoro Crater to Airport

After breakfast, you will depart Karatu and drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes.

You will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife. At midday, you will have your lunch at the crater's base. Enjoy the beautiful colours of the landscapes and the diversity of animals. The crater is home to Africa's highest concentration of wildlife and abundant elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos and even the rare black rhino. This is one of the best places to spot the Big Five.

In the afternoon, we will ascend the crater and drive to the airport for a night flight back home or spend this night in Arusha Town (optional).
