Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park – The Home of Zebras and Impalas

After breakfast, you’ll check out and begin your journey to Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s smallest but most charming savannah park. The drive takes you through scenic highlands, bustling trading centers, and rural farmlands, offering a glimpse of everyday Ugandan life.

Arrive at the park in the afternoon and check in at your lodge surrounded by rolling hills and acacia woodlands. After lunch, you may choose to relax at the lodge or go for an evening game drive, where you can spot zebras, impalas, elands, buffaloes, and giraffes grazing peacefully across the open plains. Begin your day with an early morning game drive in Lake Mburo National Park, the perfect time to catch animals as they are most active. After an early breakfast at Nkima Forest Lodge, set out for an exciting shoebill tracking adventure in the nearby Mabamba Swamp, one of Uganda’s most important birding sites on the shores of Lake Victoria. Board a traditional canoe and glide quietly through the papyrus channels as your expert guide helps you spot the magnificent Shoebill Stork, Uganda’s most sought-after bird. Along the way, enjoy sightings of other vibrant water birds such as malachite kingfishers, African jacanas, and purple herons.

After this unforgettable birding experience, return to the lodge to freshen up and check out. You’ll then embark on a short transfer to Entebbe, marking the end of your incredible Ugandan adventure.
