Game drives in Amboseli National Park

On this day, you can discuss with the guide and choose to go for a full-day game drive or morning and afternoon game drives. Amboseli is known for its large elephant herds and views of the immense Mount Kilimanjaro, across the border in Tanzania. Because the vegetation here can get sparse during the dry months, the park offers wonderful opportunities for spotting animals. The birdlife is also abundant in Amboseli, especially around the swamp and marshlands of the park. You’ll find raptors and also water birds like pelican, crake and kingfisher.

For even more wildlife viewing, we’ll take a ride up to Observation Hill. This vantage point will give us an overall vista of the entire park. Check out the swamps below where the elephants gather daily. You can also walk about the hill as it’s one of the few places in the park you can explore on foot.

You will have dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

Lake Nakuru is located in the volcanic zone, and the lake water has a high salinity, which is suitable for the growth of plankton, which is the staple food of flamingos, so it is known as "the paradise of flamingos". Lake Nakuru National Park is a park established to protect avian birds and is known as a "bird-watching paradise". The landscape features grassy plains, rolling hills, and the Mara and Talek Rivers, with nearby villages (enkangs) belonging to the Maasai people.

After lunch, relax at the lodge and enjoy its amenities, then head out at 4 o’clock for an authentic Maasai cultural experience. You could also encounter a herd of elephants crossing the path in front of you. Large animals are not the only entertainment—a family of warthogs may amuse you, running as fast as their little legs will carry them until they forget why they are rushing and stop to regroup.
