Arusha - Southern Serengeti
Arusha - Southern Serengeti
After early breakfast, we depart from Arusha and drive directly to Ndutu, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We will cross the Ngorongoro Highlands en route to Ndutu.
Between December and April, the Great Migration herds gather near the Lake Ndutu area, located between Serengeti and Ngorongoro, attracted by fresh grazing and the presence of large predators. Starting in January, the wildebeests enter their calving season.

Game drive in Ndutu overnight in Karatu
Game drive in Ndutu overnight in Karatu
After breakfast, enjoy a morning and afternoon game drive in Ndutu, exploring swamps, woodlands, and savannahs. This is where millions of wildebeest give birth to their calves when the great migration passes through, often with plenty of predators nearby. It also has all of the essential elements of the Serengeti's appeal, including big horizons and incredible wildlife, but without the crowds you'd share it with elsewhere.
Late after a day of adventure, drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight stay at Farm of dreams Lodge.

Day 3
Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha
Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha
After breakfast, you will drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for a morning to afternoon crater tour with a picnic lunch.
Descend 2000 feet (over 600 meters) to the floor of the crater (more precisely a caldera). This enclosed ecosphere was formed some two or three million years ago in the massive explosion of a volcano once higher than Kilimanjaro and offers the best game-viewing opportunities in all of Tanzania. You'll explore the forest areas inhabited by monkeys and
elephants, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and the open savannah where the lions hunt for food. With some 25,000 large mammals within the caldera, you will have the opportunity to see, in addition to Big Five (elephant, lion, rhino, buffalo, and leopard), wildebeests, gazelles, reedbucks, bushbucks, hartebeests, hippos, antelopes, both Grant’s and Thompson’s gazelles, impalas, as well as over 500 bird species.
Late afternoon, drive back to Arusha.
