Nairobi to Amboseli National Park - Approx 250 km (5-hour drive)

Depart for the Amboseli National Park via the Nairobi-Mombasa Road. The morning drive is via typical African savannah country dotted with local homesteads and colorful Maasai herdsmen grazing their cattle. You will arrive in time for lunch and later venture into the park for the afternoon game viewing drive.

You will spot the herds of elephants up close in the park – a little wonder why the park is the best place in Africa to spot such herds. It is home to many other species such as the Cape buffalo, impala, lion, cheetah, spotted hyena, Maasai giraffe, zebra and blue wildebeest, among other African animals. Birdlife is also abundant, both large and small species.

Weather permitting, Amboseli National Park offers a beautiful vista of the scenic snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, which makes it a perfect site for photography. It is the tallest mountain in Africa and the highest free-standing mountain in the world.

Dinner and your overnight stay are at the booked lodge.

Amboseli National Park to Lake Naivasha - Approx 350 km (7-hour drive)

Amboseli National Park to Lake Naivasha - Approx 350 km (7-hour drive)

After an early breakfast, you will check out and proceed to Lake Naivasha, with a brief stop at the scenic Great Rift Valley viewpoint. The valley stretches from the Beqaa Valley in Lebanon, which is in Asia, to Mozambique in southeast Africa. It’s a series of contiguous geographic trenches, approximately 6,800 km (4,300 miles) in length, and much of it is found in Kenya, where it has literally cut the country in two.

The shores host abundant birdlife, including pelicans, cormorants, and fish-eagles. There are more animals per acre than in any other Kenyan park; hence, many film companies come to the island to film herds of wildebeest, waterbuck, zebra, buffalo, and gazelle.

You will arrive for lunch.

Since there are no game drives at Lake Naivasha, you can choose optional activities this afternoon, such as a visit by boat to the Crescent Island Game Sanctuary at a cost of $90 per person or just a boat ride at $30 per person.

Dinner and overnight are at the camp.

Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru - Approx 80 km (2-hour drive)

After breakfast, we depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, one of the Rift Valley soda lakes at an elevation of 1,754 m (5,755 ft) above sea level. The park covers about 188 square km and is ideal for birdwatching and wildlife viewing. It’s also a sanctuary to the black and white rhinos.

Lake Nakuru National Park also hosts the rare Rothschild’s giraffe, which was introduced to the park in 1977. Luckily, these animals have become accustomed to the vegetation type in Lake Nakuru National Park and have slowly become an indigenous species of the park. The lake's abundance of blue-green algae used to attract a vast quantity of flamingos that famously lined the shore.

We will have lunch in a lodge inside the park to allow you ample time for the game drives at Lake Nakuru. After the game drives, we shall proceed to your overnight lodge in the evening for check-in and dinner.

Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara - Approx 220 km (4 to 5-hour drive)

After an early breakfast, we will proceed to the Masai Mara National Reserve, arriving for lunch. The reserve is located in southwest Kenya, with a vast, scenic expanse of gently rolling African savannah plains measuring approximately 1,510 square km. It borders Serengeti National Park in Tanzania to the south. It's famous for its spectacular wildlife diversity and is a premier Kenya safari destination in East Africa, offering visitors many reasons to visit this animal paradise.

Large numbers of lion, cheetah, leopard, elephant, African buffalo, wildebeest, giraffe, rhino, zebra, gazelle, and many more animals are found in the park in their natural habitat, unconfined and free to roam the vast wilderness stretching for miles on end.
