1-Day Gorilla Tracking Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

After an early breakfast at your hotel on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi, you will meet your professional driver-guide who will brief you and transfer you to the Ntebeko/Muhabura Visitor Center in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Upon arrival, you’ll attend a mandatory pre-trek briefing conducted by an Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger. Afterwards, your guided trek begins—venturing into the dense montane forest in search of the gorillas. The trek can range from 2 to 8 hours depending on the gorilla’s location. Once located, you’ll spend one magical hour observing the gorillas in their natural habitat. After the encounter, you’ll trek back to the starting point, rejoin your driver, and return to Lake Bunyonyi, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening—marking the end of your memorable gorilla tracking experience.
