Drive from Arusha to Tarangire

Today, after breakfast and a short briefing, we drive to Tarangire National Park with picnic lunch; the park is renowned for its large elephant population. You will enjoy the game drives in the park for the whole day. Later in the day you will drive to Karatu in Ngorongoro highlands for dinner and overnight.

Drive from Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

After early breakfast you will drive towards Ngorongoro Conservation Area (for approximately 3hrs). Descend to the crater for game drives safari in the Crater, you will spend the day exploring this extraordinary ecosystem that hosts a large diversity of animals in the crater, ranging from the lions, cheetahs, black rhinos, wildebeests, zebras, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles, waterbucks, elephants, buffaloes, spotted hyenas, the hippopotamus to many more games. Later in the day we drive to Karatu at Farm of Dreams for dinner and overnight.

Mto Wa Mbu Cultural tour)/ Departure

After breakfast, we drive to nearby Mto wa Mbu area (7kms from Manyara park’s gate) to do an approximately two hours cultural tour which will include visiting banana/rice plantations as well as walking safari with traditional healers who will explain the medicinal values of the indigenous plants.
Visit Mto Wa Mbu village for a great cultural experience with an experienced, English speaking guide who grew up in the village. Visit local farms, food markets, rice paddies, Banana Beer Bar and local activities.
We will drive back to Arusha town and be dropped at Arusha Planet Lodges for dinner and overnight.
